When and where you can take the IELTS test

We conduct testing sessions once a month in Bucharest (except August) and twice a year in Cluj, Iasi and Timisoara.

Registration for IELTS takes place about 6 weeks before the test date according to the table below. Registration after the announced period is subject to availability. For further details contact our customer services team at (021) 307 96 00 or contact@britishcouncil.ro.

The first three modules – Listening, Reading and Writing – must be completed in one day (the day listed in the table below). No break is given between the three modules.

The speaking test usually takes place on the same day as the written papers. Due to administrative reasons, the examination centre may decide to schedule it up to 7 days after the written papers.
