Film screenings of Charles Dickens’ novels

Watch outstanding film adaptations of Charles Dickens’s novels. In celebration of the bicentenary of Charles Dickens’s birth this year we have the pleasure of inviting you on 3, 4 and 7 February to watch screenings of some of your favourite childhood stories: Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.
The films will be screened at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant (Horia Bernea Hall) and at the British Council Bucharest library, @British.
Entry is free.

Reading Challenge Week for children in Iasi

The British Council Iasi launches a new edition of the Reading Challenge competition between 13-17 February for all children keen on reading!
This edition’s theme is Circus Stars and comes accompanied by tricks, juggling and games performed by a magician. All children along with their parents or teachers are invited to share the magic during the week and take advantage of the special 50% discount for children’s memberships. Let the show begin!
