How to register for an English course

The Winter Term will continue until 23 March 2013.

How to register for one of our English language courses:

Go to Very Young Learners (four to five years old)
Go to Young Learners (grades 0-VIII)
Go to Young Adults (grades IX-XII)
Go to Adults

Very Young Learners (four to five years old):

You can come to register without previous appointment or level testing until 25 March. However, you need to fill in the mandatory form before coming to register. You will have to pay the full fee in order to register. You can find here our Customer Services Team's schedule. Please check in advance that there are places available.

Young Learners (grades 0-VIII):

You need to sit a written test followed by an oral test at our premises in order to determine your level.
Please make an appointment for the placement test at a time of your choice using the links in the table below.
Come to the British Council on the date and time of your appointment and get tested.
After the placement test your level of English will be determined and we will recommend you the appropriate course for you.
Our Customer Services team will inform you of the timetable options and you will have to pay the full fee in order to register, depending on places availability.

Young Adults (grades IX-XII):

You need to take a written online test followed by an oral test at our premises.
Please make an appointment for an oral test at our premises at a time of your choice using the links in the table below.
Check for the appointment confirmation e-mail and follow the instructions.
Use the link and appointment ID from the confirmation email to access the online written test.
Please come to the British Council on the date and time of your appointment .
After the interview your level of English will be determined and we will recommend you the appropriate course for you.
Our Customer Services team will inform you of the timetable options and you will have to pay the full fee in order to register, depending on places availability.

Adults:

You need to take a written online test followed by an interview. The interview can be held at our premises (face to face with a teacher), or by telephone (one of our teachers will contact you).
Please make an appointment for an interview at our premises or by telephone at a time of your choice using the links in the table below.
Check for the appointment confirmation e-mail and follow the instructions.
Use the link and appointment ID from the confirmation email to access the online written test.
If you choose to be interviewed face to face, please come to the British Council on the date and time of your appointment.
If you choose the telephone interview make sure you can have a 15-20 minutes conversation without being interrupted, on the date and time of your appointment.
After the interview your level of English will be determined and we will recommend you the appropriate course for you.

Registration takes place on a first come first served basis, subject to availability of places. Places in a group cannot be reserved.

Adults who took the level test in the last 12 months and teens/ children who took the level test in the last six months can come and register for a course without previous reservation or level testing, depending on places availability. Check the registration schedule.

We offer a 70 ron discount for the second member of the family (parents, siblings) who registers for a course at the Teaching Centre in the same term. The course fee must be paid in full on enrolment. Payment can be made in cash or by credit/debit card, RON only. For payment via bank transfer please contact us at contact@britishcouncil.ro or 021 307 9600.

The fee includes all tuition and course materials, but not course books, which you need to buy separately.
