ARTS AND CULTURE
We showcase innovative forms of music, theatre, visual arts and film, by presenting high quality artwork. We promote the arts as a means for intercultural dialogue, we facilitate artists' cooperation and work in partnership with prestigius organisations and institutions in Romania.
British Documentary

The British Documentary project aims at presenting the Romanian audience with the best of contemporary British documentaries, awarded by the Grierson Film Festival in the UK. The 2012 edition will kick off in Bucharest on 12 october.

British Composition Season

The 2011-2011 edition comprised a series of four concerts, and the project will return in October 2012.
Dickens 2012
Dickens 2012 is a celebration of the life and work of the British writer Charles Dickens that marks the bicentenary of his birth. To mark this event we organised Dickens film screenings in Bucharest and a creative writing competition.
European Literature Night
European Literature Night is a cultural project that takes place in more than 25 countries in Europe. The 2012 edition took place on 30 May and presented an attractive and representative selection of contemporary British literature.
British Film Days
British Film Days presents a thought-provoking selection made up of the newest British productions, awarded with some of the most popular distinctions in the field of cinematography. The 2012 edition took place between 8-12 March.
Stop GAP dance performance
The dance performance by Stop GAP company was a unique initiative aimed at challenging traditional notions about dance in Romania and presenting the Romanian audience with a new philosophy of dance as a means of physical, psychological and social integration. The performance took place on 4 and 5 of November 2011.
Night of the Cultural Institutes
The 6th edition of the Night of the Cultural Institutes took place on 22 June 2012 and invited people to participate in a day of movement and sport, the inspiration stemming from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
English Learners’ Bookcase
Row of books, photographer Mat Wright copyright British Council English Learners' Bookcase reading club, organised together with Carturesti, has brought together persons interested in both literature and improving their English language skills, the meetings taking place twice a month. A new session of the meetings will return starting 2013.

Theatre de l'Ange Fou at "European Masks ... at Masca" Festival
