In the recent past there were books and courses on 'Telephone English', designed for secretaries or telephonists.  With the new communications that exist nowadays are these telephone skills still relevant or have they been superseded by the use of email?  Do people not need to learn them any more - or are they more necessary than ever with global communications often taking place in English?
