English for Journalists
Part 1

In the first lesson of this group  you read a text about a well-known journalist, Alistair Cooke, whose Letter from America series ran in Britain for many years.  You also check vocabulary about journalism.

The second lesson helps you to improve your interviewing techniques in English.  You learn related vocabulary, listen to a journalist giving advice on what you should and shouldn't do when interviewing and complete some notes.

The third lesson deals with note taking.  You read some tips on how to make your note taking more effective and learn note taking vocabulary.

The fourth and fifth lessons cover press conferences from understanding what is going on in lesson four to taking notes and asking questions in lesson five, both through listening activities.
