Engineering projects - challenges that engineers set out to meet, whether by improving on existing models or coming up with some completely different ways to approach the problem.  For example, engineers are always dreaming up ways of improving on existing models of the motor, for reasons going from size, ecological needs, the need to reduce prices or indeed the fact that industries need motors to be more powerful but without forfeiting precision.
