Windmills have been used for centuries to provide power for milling or grinding grain or other products, sawing wood or pumping water.  The revived interest in wind power as a renewable energy source, generating electricity, is much more recent, however.  There are those who believe that wind power is the answer to our electricity generating needs while others dispute the practicality of this.  Read more and listen to a discussion giving both points of view.
