The International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE), an internationally recognised examination set at levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR), assesses language skills in the context of finance and accounting.
Examinations at the C1 level may be used as proof of language necessary to work in an international context or to follow a course of study related to finance at university level.
The ICFE is a high-level language qualification developed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
The International Legal English Certificate (ILEC), an examination set at levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, assesses language skills in a legal context. Examinations at the C1 level may be used as proof of the level of language necessary to work in an international legal context or to follow a course of legal study at university level.
ILEC is a Cambridge ESOL examination, produced and assessed by, in collaboration with Translegal – Europe’s leading firm of lawyer-linguists. It is recognised by leading associations of lawyers including the European Company Lawyers Association, the European Law Students Association, the International Association of Young Lawyers, and the European Young Bar Association.

The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is a test about teaching English to speakers of other languages. It aims to increase teachers' confidence and enhance job prospects by focusing on the core teaching knowledge needed by teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners.
TKT is divided into separate modules. You can take them all, or just choose the ones that meet your needs. You have total flexibility in how and when you take the modules and receive a certificate for each one completed.

HOW TO ENROLEnrolments can only be accepted if payment is made by the enrolment deadline. You can enrol:
- By post
Download the enrolment form (pdf, 48k), follow the simple instructions and return it to your nearest centre, together with a photocopy of your ID card and a cheque made payable to 'British Council' for the examination fee.
- In person
At any British Council office (please check opening hours). You will need to complete the examination enrolment form and bring with you your ID card. Payment can be made by Multibanco, cheque or cash.
