british council examination centre in zielona góra

In the old days Zielona Góra was famous for the national Russian song festival. Now times have changed and if Poles sing foreign songs they are mostly in English.  Therefore learning English is trendy countrywide, also among Zielona Góra inhabitants. And if they want to check how well they know English they can do so in the British Council exam centre run by the Lingua Viva language school.

Since last autumn Lignua Viva has been situated in an office block in the very heart of town. The centre entrance is marked by two splendid thuja. Once you have passed the trees you find yourself in a green-beige hall with holiday mood photos on the walls. There, while waiting for your classes, you can have a cup of coffee or read a variety of foreign-language press. Lingua Viva teaches not just English but also French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian. They can also help you with a translation or organise a language course in the UK. The school was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certifivate confirming adherence to international standards of quality. Their future plans are also very ambitious – art exhibitions, vernissages, conversation clubs.

Customers praise Lingua Viva for the professional teaching staff, the good atmosphere during classes and, as one of the students put it, ‘the easy-going approach to people’

The exam centre coordinator and administrator are quite normal people, perhaps apart from one small thing. The coordinator does not throw anything away as you never know when something may come in handy.

The exam experience of our Zielona Góra colleagues allows them to make  observations of a scientific nature on the correlation between the exam period and incidence rate. The closer to the session the more candidates fall ill with various sicknesses. It would be interesting to know whether this is a phenomenon specific to Zielona Góra only ...
