The British Council EU region is looking for candidates for the following posts:
will provide regional sales and customer management leadership that results in tangible benefits for EU Europe Full Cost Recovery businesses by developing and improving EU Europe’s customer management by:
- Embedding a culture of excellent service to customers whereby every interaction builds trust, inspires and makes it easy for the customer.
- Developing and delivering a regional sales and customer management strategy for EU Europe Teaching and Exams businesses that meets corporate objectives and geographical priorities and takes into account the needs and expectations of external/internal stakeholders and market opportunities.
- Developing and implementing a learning and development strategy in support of the global Customer Management strategy. Ensuring all learning and development interventions are appropriate, targeted and lead to measurable performance improvements.
- Reviewing the regional customer operations in EU Europe. Assess the capacity and capability for meeting customer demand in the region, propose changes to our delivery models and oversee the implementation of the agreed changes.

will support business development in the EU through the exploitation of digital channels by:
- Stimulating and growing the demand for teaching and exams products in the EU through social media initiatives and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Improving our SEO ranking results in collaboration with country teams.
- Helping managers to better use digital channels to grow their exams businesses, including the targeted acquisition of new customers and retention of our institutional exams suppliers.

These are fixed-term posts recruited on local country appointed terms – at Grade E and F. They will be advertised internally in the EU region, BC globally and externally in the following countries: Czech Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain. The posts can be located in any of these countries. The post holders will have to be eligible to work in the country of appointment. Candidates based in any one of these countries would if successful continue working in the country in which they are now working/based. Candidates based outside any of these countries will be expected to transfer to one of the countries (based on business need) and transfer terms will apply. They are expected to start the jobs on 1 April (if relocation is needed to be done within three months of start of the job.)

The British Council's Teaching Centres in Poland are looking for candidates for the following posts:
We are currently looking for freelance teachers who are interested in teaching between 6 and 18 hours per week. The projected start date is in February 2012. We welcome Poland-based applicants with a minimum of CELTA (or British Council-recognised equivalent) and at least two years subsequent quality classroom experience. We are also interested in meeting teachers with recognised UK qualifications and teaching experience with younger learners including primary.
