EDUCATIONAL, ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EXAMS (NON-EFL)

British Council Examinations Services offer a wide range of educational, academic and professional exams that you can sit in our Examinations Centres in Poland. We guarantee high quality standards of exam administration, confidentiality and security of your examination papers and results as well as well qualified staff to conduct the exam on the request of the candidate or exam board.

Every year we accommodate hundreds of students who wish to raise their qualifications or complete their degrees. If you wish to sit your exam with us, ask your school, university or other educational institution to contact the British Council directly.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Registration for school, university and professional exams is mainly conducted directly with the examination board that sets the rules of admission. The exceptions are the University of London examinations as well as all admission tests and school exams.

WHEN CAN I REGISTER?
All details regarding the exam sittings are available from examination boards. For the timetable please contact your educational institution by phone or email which can be found on the institutions‘ websites.
WHERE CAN I SIT THE EXAM?

You can sit your non-EFL exam at all British Council examination centres in Poland provided the exam board agrees to this arrangement.

WHAT ARE THE EXAMINATION FEES?

The British Council collects fees for the administration of the exam and the despatch of examination papers to the examination board. The list of fees is available in the document Examinations Fees – individual candidates. The fees do not cover the charges made by the examination boards.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS

DISABLED CANDIDATES

Candidates who require special arrangements (e.g. candidates with hearing or visual difficulties) are asked to provisionally report it to the educational institution while registering for an exam session. The regulations of awarding disabled students with special arrangements are always set by the examination boards.

CANDIDATES WITH DYSLEXIA, DYSGRAPHIA OR DYSORTOGRAPHIA

Candidates applying for extra time for the the examination because of dyslexia, dysgraphia or dysorthographia are asked to provisionally report it to the educational institution while registering for an exam session. The regulations of awarding the students with with extra time are always set by the examination boards.

In the case of GCE A-level exams (Edexcel International and Cambridge International Examinations), admission tests of the University of Oxford and Cambridge Assessment (BMAT, ELAT, TSA, STEP) as well as the exams of the University of London candidates should submit their requests for special arrangements directly to British Council. To be granted with special arrangements you should fill in the application for special arrangements form and submit it (accompanied by other registration documents) to the British Council office by the deadline set by the Exams Coordinator:

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR AN INVOICE OR REIMBURSEMENT?

If you want to receive an invoice for the exam payment collected by British Council, fill in one of the forms below:

REIMBURSEMENTS

If you paid for an exam, but did not register, you are entitled to a full refund. Fill in the refund form and submit it to the British Council office in Warsaw.

If you were not able to take part in the exam because of health reasons you are entitled to a refund of 60% of the examination fee paid to the British Council. The basis for the refund is a medical certificate submitted to the address below no later than the deadline stated in the regulations.

Only British Council fees can be refunded.

HOW CAN I MAKE A SUGGESTION OR LODGE A COMPLAINT?

Our aim is to continuously improve our services to our customers. If you have any suggestions or comments that may help us in this process please contact us.

Any comments you may have concerning the conduct of the examination should be directed to the supervisor immediately after the examination and in writing to the examination centre staff no later than by the deadline stated in exam regulations.
