Alter Ego lesson scenario – intercultural materials for teachers

Alter Ego is one of the seven flagship projects chosen by the European Commission to celebrate the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. Young people (14–18 years old) were encouraged to explore different and varied identities in their local communities by creating a double portrait using video, photographs, text, music, etc. Each double portrait comprises a self portrait alongside a portrait of a person from a different background and tradition. The works of young artists were gathered into the Alter Ego exhibition (which is now touring Poland.

The exhibition is accompanied by educational materials for teachers to use in the classroom – a lesson scenario prepared by Iga Kazimierczyk from the Centre for Citizenship Education (CEO).
