I came back to Poland in 2000 (my first clear childhood memories hail from Warsaw’s frozen and misty mornings) to do a Masters in European Studies, which, I am sorry to say, I never did manage to finish. That’s ok though, since I never did feel comfortable in academia, and managed to find a job without it (it seemed that a history degree from St Andrews did in the long run manage to open a few doors). Which brings me to teaching - I first started in Callan, and was later asked to work for Gama-Bell, where I worked for three years. At the end of September 2004, my life was to change, in more ways than one: I found out that I was to be a dad and joined the BC as a freelance teacher. I am, to this day, teaching freelance but have, in the meantime, opened up my own one-man show. Joanna, my partner, and I are now having our home built on the outskirts of Krakow. If you’re ever in town, be sure to knock. Cead Mille Failte.
