Andy Williams has been Director of the British Council in Poland since the summer 2011. Over the past twenty years, his work in education and international cultural relations has taken him from London to Gdansk and Damascus, Bangkok and Baku. He originally trained and worked as a theatre director in the 1980’s, introducing British audiences to challenging new European writers. His first experience of Poland was from 1991 to 1996 working for the British Council at the University of Gdansk.
