is a workshop for teachers of English working with teenage and adult learners who are considering studying or working abroad and thus require a proper English language qualification.
The workshop consists of three 60-minute sessions:

Session 1 (10:00-11:00) |
 |
This session is focused especially on those who have not been introduced to the IELTS test yet as well as on those who would like to refresh their knowledge about IELTS. Its main aim is to present the general IELTS test structure and interpretation of scores. Participants will learn about the particular parts of the test and the assessment criteria. |

Session 2 (11:30-12:30) |

These two parts (Sessions 2 & 3) are more practical and will focus on the Writing and Speaking aims of the IELTS test. |

Session 3 (13:00-14:00) |
 |
Participants will be showed strategies leading to the most effective preparation of students of these two parts of the exam. |
The workshops are conducted by:
- Matt Byrski is a teacher of English at the British Council English Teaching Centre where he prepares students for the IELTS test. He has been teaching English for almost 16 years now. Apart from Poland, he taught English in Australia where he ran ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) courses at AICL (The Australian Institute for Commerce and Languages) and the Carrick Institute for of Education in Sydney. He is particularly interested in CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning).
- Beata Mikolajewska is a teacher of English, an award-winning lecturer at the Open University of the University of Warsaw, and an experience ESOL and IELTS examiner. She has taught teenagers and adults in language schools, and currently teaches practical phonetics and conversational courses to college students.

Attendance is free of charge but please register because the number of places at all seminars is limited.
British Council reserves the right to restrict the number of attendees representing one institution as well as to cancel the seminar in the event of an insufficient number of participants registered for the event.
Every participant will receive training materials and a certificate of attendance.
