British Council in Poland provides exam administration services on behalf of foreign examination bodies and educational institutions for candidates who are not able to travel abroad to sit their examinations.
- ensure that the regulations of all examination bodies and educational institutions are strictly observed,
- receive and store exam papers (ensuring total security of all documents),
- provide a room and invigilators for the actual examination,
- return the completed answer sheets and scripts by method indicated by the examination board or institution.
The above services are provided only at an institution’s request and for written papers only as we are unable to provide facilities for practical tests.
- For some courses the tuition fee paid to the institution by students includes the cost of administering the examination
overseas. In this case the administration fee is paid by the institution direct to the British Council in Poland. We will issue the institution with an invoice for our services and despatch costs (where required).
All fees from institutions are payable in advance by bank transfer to the bank account given on the invoice.
- For other courses, students are expected to cover administration costs and despatch locally. This should be
clearly stated in the institution’s instructions or letter concerning examination arrangements.
All fees from individual candidates are payable in advance by bank or postal transfer to the bank account provided by the British Council.
Invigilation fees - per candidate/per paper -at the British Council in Poland are as follows (courier charges not included):

The British Council and the Examining Boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of service. Those institutions, however, cannot be held responsible for any irregularities of service caused by circumstances beyond their control. In the case of delays, interruptions or cancellation of examinations or delays in the issue of results for the reasons independent of the organisers, we will make every effort to resume normal service as soon as possible. In the abovementioned cases the British Council’s liability will be limited to re-testing at a later date or a refund of the registration fee. If the delays or interruptions in the course of the examinations were caused by the organisers and were longer than 24 hours, or if the examinations were cancelled by the organisers, candidates are entitled to a compensation of the loss incurred for that reason on general terms.
