In Radom the Exam Centre is run by City College, one of the most popular language school in the city. They offer courses for all age groups at all level of language advancement including exam preparatory classes. The teaching there is based on co-operation between Polish and British teachers which helps students overcome the language barrier.
The school itself is located in a pre-war building with a beautiful mural on the staircase ceiling. Although the building used to be the seat of the local prosecutor’s office the current ambiance of the place has nothing in common with the usually harsh and gloomy atmosphere of a legal institution. The school office is brightened up by the radiant smiles of the school assistants. This is no wonder, as the exam coordinator has a unique gift for solving all sorts of problems and no computer holds any secrets for her.
The exam administrator in turn is a devoted fan of Woody Allen and one of her ambitions is ‘to talk little but tasty’.
Exam sessions in Radom are rather uneventful, to twist a well known quotation from the film Rejs, exam sessions in Radom are like Polish films ‘Boring, sir, nothing happens’.
