BRITISH COUNCIL EXAMINATIONS CENTRE IN PŁOCK

BRITISH COUNCIL EXAMINATIONS CENTRE IN PŁOCK

The Exam Centre in Płock is located in a very ‘calm and quiet’ area, between two graveyards. From time to time the sound of psalms and songs sung in mourning can be heard emanating from there. But this is the only sad note to our centre.

Our building is beautiful and very modern and the centre is run by the biggest and best  language school in Płock. The school offers classes at all levels for children, teenagers and adults as well as courses for institutions. In our school everybody can find a language course that best meets his needs. Our classrooms are also fully equipped with all sorts of modern devices such as interactive whiteboards, audio equipment, Barthe players and headphones – all to make our classes more effective and attractive for our students.

The Exams co-ordinator, Joanna Lisiewska, is a very energetic and cheerful mother of one-year old Maja. Joanna loves her job and therefore puts a lot of energy into all she does at work. Apart from work she loves water, sun and, being a typical Leo, good company. Recently she has also discovered her new talent – participation  in karaoke competitions.

The Exams administrator, Ewelina Frankie, is an absolute fan of cheeses and good wine. At first glance she gives the impression of being a very serious and reserved person. In fact she is a warm and optimistic ‘Pisces’.

The Płock exam centre will undertake every possible challenge to meet customers’ requirements. For example we have conducted the Preliminary English Test for 10 prisoners in a Płock prison. In the end only 9 candidates sat the test as one of them was released earlier (what a shame :-)).

During the last FCE exam it was raining cats and dogs and the raindrops that were falling on the window sills making a terrific noise. Some candidates did not like it. We were honestly as willing to help as possible but despite our best efforts we unfortunately did not have a direct line to God.

You are very welcome to come and see our centre.
