british council examination centre in opole

For most of us June and Opole are associated with the festival of Polish songs. But some Opole inhabitants think more about English tests than Polish songs during those hot summer days. And this is thanks to the ILS International School that runs the British Council Examination Centre in Opole.

From February 2011 ILS has a new location, i.e. a newly restored building in the heart of Opole, where ILS run all sorts of English language courses for children, teenagers and adults (both individual and for groups). Particularly popular seem to be exam classes preparing students for Cambridge ESOL exams such as FCE, CAE, CPE and the Business English Certificates (BECs) that are also provided within the EU projects the Centre is involved in. Thanks to those project courses 80% of their participants (representatives of local government) have passed Cambridge ESOL exams.

Apart from excellent learning conditions, ILS provides their students with easy access to relaxation and exercise. Just opposite the school there is a swimming pool where you can swim, or just use the Jacuzzi. After English courses or English language exams one can also relax in a cosy Italian restaurant located on the ground floor of the same building where ILS is situated.

The Exams Co-ordinator, Aleksandra Raj, is the owner of an extremely crazy and friendly beagle called Leon. Leon caused a lot of problems for Ola and her partner but as soon as a new member of the family was brought home, Leon “grew up” immediately and started to behave as an “older brother”.

Katarzyna Panicz, the other Exams Co-ordinator, is an EFL teacher and for three years now the Methodological Head of the ILS School. She loves swimming, dancing, spending her time with friends and travelling. Her great passion is South America.

The Exams Administrator, Monika Pasoń, knows how to gain customers’ sympathy as she is always willing to help when it comes to English courses and exams. She is passionate about a healthy lifestyle so she runs to the gym every day.

Colleagues from ILS apart from their educational activities actively support a pro-family policy. During one of the sessions a candidate brought her 3-year old daughter to her written exam. She said that there was nobody to look after the girl as the candidate’s husband had not arrived home from work on time. ILS staff found a solution to the problem. They delegated one of the teachers who had a break in her classes to take care of the child. The remorseful father finally appeared and collected his daughter. The mother’s determination was rewarded as she succeeded in the exam. So when it comes to Cambridge ESOL exams at ILS you are very welcome to bring your offspring as well!

And now we invite you to check for yourselves whether all this is true: http://www.ils.pl/
