Since November 2011 the British Council Examinations Centre in Kielce has been based in a new location. It is now hosted by Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomii i Prawa situated in a picturesque area. The view from the institution’s windows spreads out onto the panorama of the Swietokrzyskie Mountains and Karczowka Hill, upon which a 17th century monastery, previously run by the Bernardine Brothers, is located.
Since 1997 the Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomii i Prawa (WSEiP) has operated actively within the educational market and is the biggest private higher education school in the region. Moreover, it is among the top Polish schools in the ratings conducted by e.g. the newspaper Rzeszpospolita and the monthly Perspektywy. In this academic year there are over 5,000 students studying at WSEiP within its five departments of: Finance, Economics, Law, Social Studies, Computer Science and Health Studies.
The new examinations centre in Kielce is also a laureate of many prestigious prizes and awards for its educational achievements and activities in Kielce and the Swietokrzyski region. It was granted the title of Orły Rzeszpospolitej funded by the Rzeszpospolita daily, the European Medal and the award of Lider Regionu (Regional Leader) and the Voivode of Swietokrzyki Region’s Award in Economics.
The centre’s co-ordinator, Matylda Gizowska, is a huge fan of crime serials. This does not mean, though, that she smells a rat everywhere. Her detective-like focus on and care for details results rather in the excellent customer care provided to all candidates interested in sitting an English exam.
