In the very centre of Gdańsk, the Ateneum Szkoła Języków accommodates the British Council Examination Centre. It is located in the so-called ‘Greeny’ building, where contemporary history (the Gdańsk Shipyard and the Three Crosses Square) meets with centuries of tradition (the Royal Old Town).
| The Ateneum Szkoła Języków is a unit of Ateneum – a college of HE in Gdańsk, a non-state, higher education institution with a social science-humanities academic profile. The name of the school goes back to the best traditions of the Gdansk Gymnasium, which was founded in Gdansk as early as 1558, later to be called the Gdansk Ateneum throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. |

The areas of studies followed at the Ateneum – Gdańsk College of H.E. cover European Studies, Journalism and Social Communication, Pedagogics, Political Studies.
The Ateneum Szkoła Języków also runs FCE, CAE and CPE preparatory classes and conversation groups for all those interested. It also offers various courses for English teachers to help them develop their language competences
