SPECIAL arrangements

DISABLED CANDIDATES

Candidates who require special arrangements (e.g. candidates with hearing or visual difficulties) are asked to provisionally report this fact to a school/institution before the group payment. The institution representative contacts the examination centre in order to check if appropriate conditions can be granted to the candidate. Relevant supporting documentation – a medical certificate and a form (available also at the British Council examination centres) completed and signed by the candidate should be submitted to the examination centre by the registration deadline.

CANDIDATES WITH DYSLEXIA

Candidates applying for extra time for the written parts of the examination because of dyslexia, dysgraphia or dysorthographia are asked to submit the following documents to the examination centre by the end of the particular registration period:

  a) A report provided by a fully qualified educational, clinical or chartered psychologist:

  • issued not earlier than two years before the date of the written exam,
  • stating details of the degree of dyslexia, dysgraphia or dysorthographia,

  b) A form completed and signed by the candidate (available also at the British Council examination centres).

PLEASE NOTE
No documents will be accepted after close of registration.

HOW LONG WILL WE WAIT FOR THE RESULTS AND HOW CAN WE COLLECT THE CERTICATES?

Results are available approximately 7 weeks after the end of the exam session and are available on the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations website. Candidates will receive the password to this website in the Confirmation of Entry.

School/institution will receive access to the results of candidates it has registered which have been placed on the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations website.

Certificates can be collected in the following ways:

  • If the registering institution is located in the same city as a British Council examinations centre, their representative collects certificates on behalf of the candidates. To do so the representative must submit candidates’ (or their legal guardians’) authorisation for the said with their handwritten signatures.
  • If there is no British Council examinations centre where the examinations are held and the documents cannot be collected in person by a representative of the registering institution the certificates are despatched to the institution by domestic UPS. The registering institution is obliged to submit candidates’ (or their legal guardians’) authorisation that they agree to have their certificates collected by the institution’s representative.

PLEASE NOTE
Candidates’ results and certificates are kept by an exam centre for two years from the first day they are available for collection from that centre. Afterwards they are destroyed.
