The British Council in Krakow is now offering the Cambridge CELTA Course Online as a 'blended-learning' teacher training course combining online training with face-to-face components.
1. Face-to-face CELTA Teaching Practice
Teaching Practice (TP) is a vital part of any practical teacher training course. The face-to-face aspect of the Cambridge CELTA Course Online ensures trainees gain this invaluable experience. Teaching Practice is conducted in small groups, with each candidate teaching for a total of six hours, as peers observe. An experienced British Council teacher trainer will give you feedback on your teaching practice lessons. There will also be time to consult with the trainer as to how to approach your next lesson and the teaching options and ideas that could make the lesson a success.
2. Online CELTA component
CELTA training in the online part of the course includes
- interactive tasks
- guided video observation
- forum discussion
They aim to develop your awareness of effective teaching and learning principles and techniques. One advantage of the online CELTA component is the increased amount of time and support for you to reflect on and develop what you have learnt.
What are the benefits of Online CELTA Training ?
- CELTA Online tasks and course materials are accessible 24/7, allowing you the flexibility to fit your training around other commitments.
- Reduced accommodation and travel costs.
- Greater time to reflect on and develop your teaching
- Online CELTA training is assessed and moderated according to the same criteria as the face-to-face course, and the course leads to full CELTA qualification.
