In the north-east of Poland Cambridge exams are well looked after by the Library of Modern Languages belonging to Białystok University. The library itself is a rich source of knowledge of English speaking countries. They have a large collection of classic and modern English literature as well as various materials for English learning including multimedia.

Our Białystok colleagues do their best to meet the needs of exam candidates including sharing their own belongings with them. During one session our Administrator, charming Kazimierz, brought a pillow for an ambitious young mother to make her chair more comfortable.  The lady came for her test just a week after giving a birth and did not even want to consider postponing the exam.

But kindness does not mean leniency.  Those who are planning exam malpractice should think twice before they do so.  They will definitely be identified by name, exam number and their seating position in the exam hall.  Our exam Co-ordinator, Basia has a very unique ability to memorize all candidates and can immediately associate faces with numbers and seating arrangements.

Apart from kind and gifted administrators the Białystok centre can also boast extremely highly qualified examiners.  In recent years four of them got their PhD and one became an assistant professor.

It is worth adding that Divine Provenience watches over Białystok examinations in the literary meaning of the word.  CPE exams are always held on Thursdays and in June the session sometimes falls on Corpus Christi.  One session, although the exam venue was not on the usual procession route, voices of the congregation were so strong that candidates could hardly hear their own thoughts.  Nobody could have foreseen that the local parish had such a good PA system.  CPE writing had to be slightly delayed but candidates found it quite amusing.  One of them stated, that they now had tangible proof that heavenly forces were with them.  So if you wish to take Cambridge exams make Białystok your first choice.

And now we invite you to check for yourselves whether all this is true: http://www.uwb.edu.pl/
