CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Small Town Anywhere A BAC and Coney co-production. The audience become citizens in a small town and play out a compelling story about a community under threat. It marries exciting game-design with sophisticated dramaturgy to create meaningful interactive theatre. 90 - 120 minutes, 7 on the road Rapunzel A BAC and Kneehigh Theatre co-production by Annie Siddons. BAC celebrated its 25th birthday with this festive collaboration with acclaimed theatre company Kneehigh. Together they tell the heart-warming tale of a fun and feisty heroine using puppetry, music and image. 120–150 mins, 10 on the road The Masque of the Red Death A Punchdrunk and BAC co-production. A large-scale immersive promenade performance happening across 80% of BAC’s Victorian town hall home. The show is based on the stories of Edgar Allan Poe and combines extraordinary design with site-responsive choreography. 180 mins, 27 performers plus 10 in production team
WRAP-AROUND BAC’s Participate programme provides opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in making and learning about theatre. Participate offers an exciting range of workshops for young people – at BAC through our Young People’s Theatre (12–15 years), in local schools and in other contexts. BAC’s pioneering Beatbox Academy, run with world-class beatboxer Shlomo, is a key element of BAC’s Participate programme’s outreach work. In 2009 BAC will relaunch its adult workshop programmes.
