ARTISTIC POLICY
Array is the creative inspiration of artistic director and founder Darren Johnston. Driven by an artistic vision strongly rooted in collaboration, the company aims to explore alternative and innovative approaches to live performance and the visual and sonic arts. Array has created a distinctly varied body of work including the award winning Ren-sa project for Edinburgh 2005. Array has collaborated with artists such as Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, and Darren is currently artist in residence at The Roundhouse, London.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Ousia
A shapeshifting apparition takes centre stage in this new installation by Darren Johnston, harnessing  the power of illusion through holographic projection.
20 mins, installation (can work on a loop like a gallery exhibit or with set start and end time). Maximum 4 people on the road
Multiple
A collision of sound video and live performance. Solo performance by Darren Johnston with live viola/electronics by Zan Lyons. Originally commissioned for semi finals of The Place Prize 2008.
15, 30, or 40 minute versions. Can form a whole evening as part of a mixed program of Array's film and music work. Can also work on music stages at festivals as a stand-alone act. 4 to 5 people on the road

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Underdrome
Darren is currently artist in residence at the Roundhouse and will be creating a large scale site-specific creation for their main space for May 2009. A modified version of this will be available for touring later in the year
