ARTISTIC POLICY Bonachela Dance Company is a dynamic new touring company, working collaboratively across art forms and disciplines under the artistic direction of acclaimed choreographer Rafael Bonachela. Founded on Bonachela’s interest in the physicality and emotional impulse of the body, the company brings together artists from diverse practices to create revolutionary new work that makes each performance an extraordinary experience.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Square Map of Q4 Uses projections onto dancers to enhance the movement and explore concepts of light as sculptural form and evokes dreamlike states and half recalled memories. 80 minutes with interval, 6 on stage, 10 on road Voices A diptych comprising Set Boundaries – a collaboration with composer Matthew Herbert, visual artist Lenka Clayton and designer Alan Macdonald and /aót∫ak/ inspired by Luciano Berio´s Naturale. 75 mins with interval, 6 on stage, 10 on the road Mixed bill Various award winning works, from duets to solos and group works, including Place Prize winning E2 7SD, Soledad and Irony of Fate. Programme length and number of dancers dependent on works selected.
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS New work available from June 2009 A collaboration with composer Ezzio Bosso and designer Alan Macdonald. The work will explore how the signs surrounding us impact our lives and emotions. Approx 80 minutes with interval, 6 on stage, 10 on the road
WRAP-AROUND Pre or post-performance talks for a general audience. Workshops for students age 15+ studying dance, including warm up, teaching of sequences, and intensive task-based choreographic exercises. Masterclasses for professional dancers also available.
