One of the highlights of the event was Social Enterprise Business Plan Writing Competition.
A mini-workshop on developing project proposals was conducted by Harvey Keh and Tieza Santos of Ashoka-Philippines.
Participants were then asked to conceptualise their own social enterprise and present this to a panel composed of representatives from the British Council and Ashoka-Philippines.
The 3 best social enterprise project proposals were given a seed capital of Php 20,000 each to start up their projects. 5 consolation prizes of Php 10,000 were also given to deserving proposals

Happy Fish aims to make cheaper organic fish feeds available to fishermen of Lake Palakpakin,making them earn more, become less dependent on commercial feeds, and in the long term, provide a constant demand of organic fish feeds in the market.

Internal Combustion - Gabriel Atienza and Tess Garcia (SAGE Philippines)
Internal Combustion’s vision is to provide a cheaper alternative fuel to jeepney drivers. By procuring used vegetable oil from fast food companies and recycling it into biodiesel. By providing a cheaper greener fuel alternative, the ordinary motorist becomes empowered, helping them with their daily income as well as the environment.

Farmers, Inc. – Paradis Coffee Ma. Carmela Sue Otarra and John Oliver Go (Ateneo De Manila University)
Farmer’s Inc. seeks to uplift the lives of the Sumilao farmers through an alternative coffee product produced from corn kernels through a meticulous process developed by farmers in Mindanao, which would help secure their long-term growth and enable them to move out of poverty.
