Social enterprise is experiencing a meteoric rise in interest and relevance in the Philippines and the rest of the world. But what is social enterprise really about?
Social Enterprise is really an entirely new way of working, a way of creating a new sort of wealth and most of all, a way of changing people and the world. It is not an easy route and the conflicts between social goals and business, values and democratic working call for innovative approaches to planning, governing, selling and managing.
British Council in collaboration with the Ateneo School of Government is organising two specialised trainings on Social Enterprises this October at the Institute for Social Order (ISO), Ateneo de Manila University.
Participants to these courses will have a comprehensive understanding of social entrepreneurship: why it is unique, why it represents a new and different way of working, a different way of trading and a new way of making a difference.
