It is easy to register for an IELTS test at British Council Philippines.

There are four ways you can register for an IELTS test and you can choose based on the most convenient way for you. Registration can be done through the following:

visit our office
send it through courier
course it through our registration agents
use our IELTS Online Registration and Payment System

It is advisable that you register for the test at least two weeks before your preferred test date to ensure availability of slots. Some tests fill up very quickly.

			from our network of authorised registration agents

Step 3: Complete the application form and requirements

			Test Fee (Php 8,986.00). British Council accepts the following forms of payment: cash, manager’s cheque payable to the British Council and bank deposit through Banco de Oro branches. All payments should be in Philippine Pesos only. For those who are decided to use the bank deposit facility, please click HERE for further instructions.
			Provide two (2) passport size coloured photos signed on the back. Please check the photo specifications written on the application form. We will only accept photos that passed the photo specification listed on page iv of the application form.
			Provide photocopy of a valid National ID which can be any of the following: passport; PRC ID; SSS or GSIS ID and Unified Multi-Purpose ID. Your ID should still be valid on the exam day.
			Do not forget to sign the form and keep pages i to iv of the application form and read the "Notice to IELTS Candidates” very carefully.
			Page 3 of the form, Institution Applications, will not be processed during registration. Please disregard this page.

Step 4: Submit the application form together with the requirements and test fee. There are three ways to do this:

			Drop off at the British Council. Registration is from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
			Sent through WWWExpress/ DHL for free. Go to any WWWExpress/DHL outlet and quote British Council Account 642210981. WWWExpress will deliver your application to our office free of charge. Please note that WWWExpress/DHL only accepts manager's cheque for test fee payment.
			Submitted through one of our registration agents

At registration you or your agent will be issued with an official receipt and a confirmation letter indicating the test schedule and venue.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

			STEP 1: Go to https://philippines.ielts.britishcouncil.org/iorpsea/
			STEP 2: Choose the test module you are taking from the drop down box- Academic or General Training.
			STEP 3: Choose your preferred test date and location from the list of available sessions.
			STEP 4: Indicate whether you need any special requirements for the test due to ill health/medical conditions, then click the ‘Next’ button.
			STEP 5: Click ‘New registration.’ Upon successful registration, you will be given a user account that will enable you to login to our online system anytime.
			STEP 6: Enter all information on the online application form.
			STEP 7: Upload your photo to ‘Upload/Change Photo'. Please check required photo specifications here.
			STEP 8: Upload a copy of your valid ID to ‘Upload/Change ID/Passport copy which can be any of the following: passport; PRC ID; SSS or GSIS ID and Unified Multi-Purpose ID. Your ID should still be valid on the exam day.
			STEP 9: Read the IELTS Test Terms and Conditions and tick the box to confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions.
			STEP 10: Enter your credit card details and click ‘Pay by credit card’ to pay the test fee of Php8,986.00.
			STEP 11: Upon confirmation of payment, print your acknowledgment receipt and confirmation letter. These documents will also be sent to the e-mail address that you used in registration. Your official receipt will be issued to you on the day of the test.
			STEP 12: British Council will contact you for the exact time of your Speaking test through e-mail or phone call.

CANDIDATES WITH SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

In order to ensure that the language ability of all candidates is assessed fairly and objectively, IELTS provides a comprehensive service for candidates who have special requirements, including specific learning difficulties, hearing difficulties and visual difficulties.

If you require a modified version of the test, for example in Braille, you must give the test centre three months’ notice. This notice period is necessary for the modified test version to be prepared. If your circumstances require only special administrative arrangements to be made, such as extra time, you must give the test centre six weeks’ notice. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
