The Registration Agent is responsible for:
•Providing accurate information to potential IELTS candidates about the test and its administration by the British Council.
•Registering candidates for the IELTS by providing them with application forms and assistance in completing them fully and accurately.
•Collecting the correct test fees from the candidates at the current rate and with no additional charges.
•Sending or delivering the fully completed application forms, correct fees and any other requirements to the British Council before the deadline for registration.
•Ensuring that the candidates receive all the necessary information about their particular test date and venue.
•Making arrangements for the appropriate delivery of their candidate’s test report forms (TRFs).
•Submitting timely billing statements for handling fees where applicable.
•Promoting the IELTS jointly with the British Council.
The British Council is responsible for:
•Providing printed information on the IELTS, application forms and all promotional materials
•Inspecting the Registration Agent’s premises to ensure that they meet the requirements.
•Initial training and support for Registration Agent’s staff in IELTS customer service standards
•Proving assistance with difficult enquiries and complaints
•Processing of candidates’ applications
•All arrangements for the test venue and the administration of the IELTS test.
•Releasing results 13 days after the test.
•Processing payment of handling fees where applicable.
•Dealing with the agent’s office in matters of non-compliance with regulations.
