With regret we have to inform all our customers that the British Council Board has decided to close its office in Peru from 29 September 2006 as a result of restructuring in our Latin American operations.

This decision has been made in close consultation with the UK's Foreign & Commonwealth Office and is due to the need for us to focus resources as best we can in line with the demands that we face in a changing global environment.

Peru ELT Community
The British Council will continue to offer support and networking opportunities to ELT professionals in Peru despite the office closure. British Council Brazil has created a 'temporary forum' for the Peru ELT community and are looking for volunteers to make this happen. Visit the Peru ELT forum and contribute to initial discussions. The purpose of this forum is to provide a mechanism for ELT colleagues to keep in touch and share ideas about events and ELT activity.
