Talented Researchers Exchange Programme

Talented Researchers Exchange Programme: This programme is aimed at stimulating and nurturing young academic talent in the UK and Central South Asia through exciting and relevant research opportunities and international peer networking. Initially 10 researchers received this award to proceed with their research in the UK in 2009. Later on in February 2010, a workshop was also conducted for potential young researchers from Pakistan in the UK who then became master trainers and trained about 700 young researchers through a series of cascade trainings. The objective of the trainings was to enhance research and presentation skills in these young researchers to enable them to progress further in their research.

The Higher Education Commission, Pakistan organized a dissemination event for the Talented Researchers Exchange Programme in May 2011. The seminar was organized to acknowledge the efforts of the master trainers who cascaded these trainings in many parts of the country. This seminar also aimed at discussing and learning the research outcomes of the activity. The participants presented on their research output of these cascading workshops.
