List of the 26 Partnerships between UK and Pakistani Universities under the British Council’s INSPIRE Programme

The INSPIRE Institution to Institution Strategic Partnerships are networked at an institution to institution level. They are aimed at internationalization of the institutions, capacity building, research and building effective and sustainable impact. Currently, 26 partnerships are running successfully across Pakistan, under two rounds of Strategic Partnerships, operating across the macro level and including sector bodies, government policy makers and institution levels. HE sectors in Pakistan and UK have shown great interest.

In 2010, British Council Pakistan and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan entered into a new agreement for a joint programme of New Strategic Partnerships to be launched for three years. Under this agreement, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is providing funding to Pakistani partner and British Council is providing funding to the UK partner. This round resulted in 17 partnerships covering a wide variety of subject areas.
