IELTS with the British Council was a great experience; they have made the process simple and easy. The test was well managed and up to a high standard, especially the reading centre. I found the invigilators to be friendly and accommodating.

The exam was transparent, the invigilators very friendly and helpful and the result was on time. British Council has a reliable management and I had no trouble receiving exam dates and no problems with communication if I needed assistance. I would advise candidates to try and improve their individual test scores by generally broadening their English vocabulary e.g. if you while also using practice tests. Also especially for examiner based sections like writing and speaking, practice with a friend. In the listening section, if you are based in Pakistan, do not just concentrate on British accent but try to listen to the radio for Australian and American accents since part of the test is in these accents and one may have difficulty in understanding what is being said.

The atmosphere was comfortable and the team was especially helpful. I really enjoyed the speaking section with the examiner, who made sure I was at ease before the session officially began. To get a high score, I focused on the basics in English and practiced multiple tests.

The professionalism on display by the British Council really impressed me. They made every effort to make it a good experience for me. In addition to experience, I was also able to get a good score by practicing the official practice tests. It’s important to always identify your mistakes and readdress them.

An amazing experience! I took IELTS with the British Council because it’s a universal body which guarantees international standards. To those taking the test, my advice would be: Read! The preparation material is essential, but reading newspapers and magazines helps a lot!
