Accounting and Finance Exams
ACCA

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants. ACCA aims to offer business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management.

In Pakistan, written examinations are held in June and December and computer based tests are administered on demand through registration at institutions certified by ACCA. Fee details available with ACCA and registrations are also made through local ACCA representatives.

In addition to June and December ACCA examinations, British Council also manages ACCA computer based examinations. These are on-demand examinations which are conducted for ACCA and CAT initial levels i.e. T1 (INT, UK), T2, T3 (INT, UK), T4, F1, F2, MFA (INT, UK) F3 (INT, UK), TT5, TT6, TT 7 and MMA. ACCA CBE exams are conducted through registered ACCA CBE centres.

ICFE

Cambridge ICFE assesses candidates' ability to understand spoken and written English in realistic contexts that accounting and finance professionals encounter in their daily working lives. The exam consists of four papers – reading, writing, listening and speaking – providing a comprehensive approach to developing financial English language skills.

Successful candidates are able to use the language skills they develop when preparing for Cambridge ICFE in a range of practical accounting and financial contexts.  From participating in meetings and discussions of a financial nature to interpreting financial documents including statements, journal articles, letters, reports and proposals.

CFA

A chartered financial analyst is a professional designation given by the CFA Institute that measures the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Candidates are required to pass three levels of examinations covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management and security analysis.

Before you can become a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder, you must have a minimum of 3-years of investment/financial experience. To enroll in the program, you must hold a bachelor's degree.

The CFA Program includes a series of three exams that are offered in test centers around the world. These three exams — Level I, Level II, and Level III — must be passed sequentially as one of the requirements for earning a CFA charter.

CFE exams are conducted in Lahore and Karachi by the British Council.

ABE Exams

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is a professional membership body and an examination board. We develop business and management qualifications at Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma level. ABE qualifications provide progression routes to degree and Masters programmes worldwide.

ABE's qualifications are currently examined at Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma levels. These qualifications are at Levels 3,5,6 and 7 respectively on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in the UK. The three-hour written external examinations are held twice a year (usually the first week in June and December). For more information http://www.abeuk.com

STEP Mathematics

STEP is a well-established Mathematics university admissions test, which is used to help to select very academically able students for courses which are usually oversubscribed. STEP was originally administered by OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations).
