PREPARING THE TRAINERS – “SUPER-ETTES”

Our training approach is akin to a ripple that spreads through water.

British Council’s experienced and trained trainers from the UK as well as from Pakistan directly train Teachers through an intensive resident training workshop.

Once trained, these teachers are called ‘SuperETTEs’ which in essence means they are now prepared to impart what they’ve learned to others. These ‘SuperETTEs’ eventually go back to train peers in their own respective areas, thus raising the number of qualified teachers across Pakistan, using minimum time and resources.

The final phase aims to focus on teaching the ‘cascading process’ to the mentors in order to enable them to pass on the same training to others, and as a result reach out to more teachers across Pakistan.

“I eagerly awaited the opportunity to take my experience with the ETTE to the next level. So, when the opportunity came, I did exactly that, and let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed.” Nigar Zehra, Karachi
