Working Hours

All staff is expected to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, and normal working days are Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

However, the actual hours of work and days may vary for the Council offices according to operational needs.

Core hours & Flexible Working

British Council members are expected to be present in the office during certain periods of the working day. These periods are known as core hours. Normally, core hours are 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. outside these hours, staff has the flexibility to alter work hours.
