Design Awards uncover Kiwi ingenuity

A safe wakeboard binding has picked up the coveted James Dyson Award 2010 for emerging product design, at an award ceremony held in Auckland in July.

The designer, Julian Schloemer, was also named a British Council New Zealand design ambassador to travel to the UK.

We have completed the workshops and shows in Auckland, Taupo and Wellington for PIYN 2010, which also involved participatory media and online skills development for young aspiring creative entrepreneurs. Check the blog for archived info and videos.
