What we do

Our science portfolio covers two main areas: excellence in international science, which is all about innovation with a particular focus on partnerships and wealth creation, and understanding science in society, which promotes the relevance of science to culture and social well-being.

In Norway much of our work focuses on understanding science in society: we increase the awareness of the relevance of science among the public and policymakers, using a variety of means including exhibitions, debates, lectures, seminars, events and information.
