British Council is looking for a Country Director to lead its operations in Norway. This includes identifying opportunities, developing long term relationships & strategic partnerships with key contacts, stakeholders and institutions. You will be leading the Norwegian team in the implementation of strategy and work closely with other senior staff and project managers in the region & UK.
We expect that the candidates will have:
- Wide-ranging interest and insight into international cultural issues
- Strong track record of creating and engaging collaborative networks
- Leadership experience, including relationship-building, securing funding, and managing teams and organisational change
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Norwegian
- Strong communication and networking skills

The salary is in the range of 500-600, 000 NOK pa.
The starting date for this post is 1st February 2013 or soon after.
