Designed in 1924, the Fulbright UK/US Teacher Exchange programme is run by the British Council in collaboration with the US Department of State.  Each academic year, around thirty teachers from the UK have the opportunity to conduct research, study, live and work in the USA for up to one academic year.

The deadline to apply for an exchange in 2013 has been extended to Friday 7 December 2012
What is Fulbright UK/US Teacher Exchange?
Interested in spending an autumn term or a full academic year teaching in the United States?  You can gain valuable international teaching experience, immerse yourself in a different culture and even earn 60 credits towards a Master's Degree.  Find out about the Fulbright UK/US Teacher Exchange programme, the application process and accreditation.

THANKSGIVING DAY CELEBRATION

Pupils at Bliss Charity School in Nether Heyford Northamptonshire celebrated Thanksgiving Day on Thursday 24 November by tucking into pumpkin pie.

Their US Fulbright teacher Sallie Hunter from Maine helped the children mark the American public holiday and learn more about American culture.
