CHARLES DE GAULLE BURSARY SCHEME

The Charles de Gaulle Bursary Scheme aims to offer students from the UK and France with the unique opportunity of spending a 4-week period in the UK and France respectively. Successful students will be expected to carry out a study project that can relate to any aspect of the language or culture of the other country.

Information for students

Students must be aged between 17-19 and have a competent level of linguistic ability in French and English.  

Bursaries are to the value of £1000 and this must be used to offset the cost of travel, subsistence and accommodation. The bursary cannot be used to fund study on a language course.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is end January each year. Interviews are held in late March early April.

This programme is administered in Northern Ireland on behalf of the UK and France.
