The British Council has set out below all the terms and conditions which relate to the Innovation 360 competition. These terms and conditions are the competition rules (‘rules’) and by entering the competition you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions and have agreed to be bound by them.
We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions/ rules at any time without prior notice.
The competition starts on the 14th of September 2009 and finishes on the 21st of November 2009.

The number of people who can enter Innovation 360 competition is unlimited. | ||

Innovation 360 is open to people who meet these set criteria for qualification: You must be a first degree holder with a minimum of second class upper from a Nigerian University. You must also have good English language skills and be resident in Nigeria. | ||

The final decision as to who is shortlisted to take part in the finals and who wins is at the discretion of the British Council. | ||

The work submitted to the competition must be the work of the individual only. Friends, family and colleagues of individual may help clarify the task, prompt thinking, explain any technical terms or refer individual to helpful information, resources or sources of inspiration only. However, they should not undertake the completion of the brief or produce any of the output required for assessment during the competition on behalf of the individual. If evidence is established that shows that friends, family and colleagues of individual have unreasonably delivered parts of the brief then the individual will be disqualified from Innovation 360 | ||

Individuals must all have the ability to communicate effectively in English. They must have the ability to deliver a short presentation in English and to write or ask questions from the board. | ||

Individuals must have access to, and be able to use a computer with an internet connection and that runs on Microsoft Office or equivalent. | ||

Shortlisted individuals must be available to attend the final on the 20th/21st November 2009 in Lagos. | ||

There will be a range of prizes for different categories in the Innovation 360 Competition. Master’s degrees will be one year maximum in length. | ||

All prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. | ||

Choice of University placement for winners is entirely at the discretion of the British Council | ||

The British Council, Education UK and UK Universities will not be responsible or liable for the unavailability, delay or cancellation of prizes where availability is not within its absolute control or where the prize winner fails to take up a prize. | ||

The British Council, Education UK and UK Universities will not be responsible or liable for the cancellation of prizes where individual does not succeed in getting a student visa after completion of the visa application process. | ||

By entering the competition and submitting creative ideas, you agree for The British Council, Education UK and the UK universities to reserve the right to use the outputs in print and online communications to support the delivery of the competition and to promote the value of a UK education. | ||

The short-listing decisions of the Board will be final and no correspondence on the decisions can be entered into. Feedback from the panel will be given to shortlisted individuals on request during the board interview. | ||

The winning individuals may be required to take part in publicity or public relations activities related to the competition. | ||

Winners will be required to return to Nigeria immediately after completion of their studies to impact the country with the knowledge and skills they have acquired. | ||
