Debate to Action Nigeria

Building Capacity in Youth Organisations

CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR YOUTH ORGANISATIONS

In connection with the Debate to Action youth capacity building learning program in Nigeria, the British Council and the World Bank are looking to identify a mix of established and promising youth organizations with a view to increasing their understanding of development issues as well as enhancing their skills to work with and train youths in their locales on the MDGs, NEEDs Strategy and other poverty alleviation programmes.

Subsequent stages of the project include a six-week online training session, two-day face-to-face workshop and a three month extension step down programme. Following the initial training, Debate to Action staff will provide intermittent support on a part-time basis throughout the remaining ten month roll-out period of the pilot project. The learning program will take place in clusters with the training venue in one location.

Please note that the British Council will only be responsible for accommodation and meals for the duration of the training and that organizations are responsible for their travel to and from the venue and any other expenses incurred.
