Amina Chaudary has worked on the Muslim world engagement project in various capacities for over 10 years. Most recently, she was hired by Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner of Human Rights for the creation of the Women Leaders Intercultural Forum with support from The Aspen Institute, where for over two years she directly developed the first ever global summit for high ranking women leaders around the world including the Muslim world.
In 2010, she founded a publication that focuses on intelligent discussion pertinent to the Muslim World, called The Islamic Monthly which won an award for its first issue released in January 2011. She worked on an influential leader series where she's interviewed prominent global thinkers on the clash of civilizations.
She was the only Muslim to interview Samuel Huntington, and was his final interview before his passing. She also interviewed Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Secretary Madeleine Albright, Noam Chomsky and others. Her upcoming interview with Bernard Lewis on the clash theory
and his works critiquing the Muslim world will be published in August 2011 in The Islamic Monthly.
