World Olympic Dreams

A BBC project following the lives and progress of 26 athletes  from around the world as they train for 2012. BBC World Class and the British Council have teamed up to enable schools in UK to twin with schools attended by World Olympic Dreams Athletes. The schools have been working together on joint projects inspired by Olympic values.

Connecting Classrooms

Connecting Classrooms is a global programme that creates partnerships between clusters of schools in the UK and others around the world. These partnerships bring an international dimension to young people’s learning, to improve their knowledge and understanding of other cultures and prepare them for life and work as global citizens. Warm Up for the Games

For schools in UK and around the world who are interested in doing projects around the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we have created a ‘Warm up for the Games’ section on our Schools Online website. There are project ideas and activities for you to use in your classroom or with your partner school.  

Get Set Goes Global

If you are from the UK, through London 2012’s Get Set goes global programme, you’re invited to learn about how sport and the Olympic Games bring the world together.

Want to improve your languages? Do you speak another language? 

The official London 2012 International Education Programme offers learning resources about the London 2012 Games in English, French and Spanish. These resources are available for schools from around the world.
