Funding for research can be difficult to find, especially if you do not know where to look. Therefore, Euraxess has identified potential sources of funding and provided you with information and links so that you can engage in research on an international level. You can even use our recently updated Funding Search tool to easily find funding opportunities such as international collaborations, fellowships and travel grants for meetings, courses, visits etc.
Different sources of funding are available to researchers at different stages of their careers, and often the eligibility criteria vary from organisation to organisation. Please remember when applying for funding to check the eligibility terms for each scheme and organisation.
The importance of international collaboration and knowledge exchange in research is becoming increasingly recognised. Here in the UK there are many schemes and programmes to encourage the exchange of ideas and experience between individuals and research groups around the world.
Funding for research also comes from learned academies, such as the Royal Society, and charitable organisations.
