About Euraxess
EURAXESS-UK is part of the EURAXESS Service Centre network, a pan-European initiative involving 35 countries across Europe. EURAXESS helps European and non-European researchers as they move about in Europe and
supports scientific organisations in their search for outstanding research talent. It provides a single access point to information across all countries including a network of walk-in centres offering personalized assistance to researchers moving to another country.
EURAXESS is a key initiative in supporting the commitment of the European Union to removing the barriers to free movement of knowledge within Europe, to strengthening cross-border mobility of researchers, students, scientists and academic staff and to providing researchers with better career structures.
The new EURAXESS site brings together four major initiatives which support the mobility of researchers in Europe: Jobs, Services, Rights and Links. It replaces the ERA-MORE and ERA-Careers initiatives.
The EURAXESS-UK portal provides practical information for researchers moving to the UK and is managed by the British Council and funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). It replaces the Network UK Researchers Mobility portal.
EURAXESS Service Centres
There is a network of more than two hundred EURAXESS Service Centres, located in 35 European countries. These centres assist researchers and their families to relocate to another country.
